Quite a few years ago, I wanted to buy a new Harley. I had cash. I then said, “I’ve been riding for a while and already have a Softtail. I wanted a new one. Since you’re not willing to help me, I guess I’ll go elsewhere.” Then walked away.

I knew I wanted a British Racing Green MG-F and headed off to the dealer, seriously ready to put down Fr100,000 (US$15k-ish) and sign a loan for the rest. I walked through the door, salivated at the demo model and waited for a salesman. 15 minutes, 30… They spoke with everyone but me. I asked at reception for someone to talk to me, but nobody came. People came in after me and were served before me. I was steaming with anger by the time I left.
