Usually it’s general population I wore an orange jumpsuit and I was medium security. I also wore a pink jumpsuit but that was only for a day. It all is dependent on the facility. Not only do the COs want the inmates visible amongst the public but other prisons as well. I’ve seen yellow, orange, black and white stripes, red, green and blue. If there are more, I couldn’t tell you. These are just the ones I have actually witnessed. Security reasons. Folks can bring in conterband such as drugs which would be hard for the guards to detect. So aliminating clothing from the outside is easier. Also outside clothing that could be used to harm themselves or another inmate and used as a weapon is eliminated. You were probable were stripped searched and showered as well.

Your fed food you wouldn’t feed to your dog. Your given a very thin plastic mate to sleep on no pillow with used dirty thin linen. The facilities are unsanitary dirty disgusting and cold. There’s many junkies and dirty/gross people whom you have to live with. The facilities lack hygiene products. You given clothes to wear that has already been wore (underwear included). Your away from your family and friends with limited phone access which you have to pay for. (Inhumane) and degrading nothing more nothing less.
