It all is dependent on the facility. Not only do the COs want the inmates visible amongst the public but other prisons as well. I’ve seen yellow, orange, black and white stripes, red, green and blue. So aliminating clothing from the outside is easier. Also outside clothing that could be used to harm themselves or another inmate and used as a weapon is eliminated. You were probable were stripped searched and showered as well.

There’s many junkies and dirty/gross people whom you have to live with. The facilities lack hygiene products. You given clothes to wear that has already been wore (underwear included). Your away from your family and friends with limited phone access which you have to pay for. (Inhumane) and degrading nothing more nothing less.
